Groundbreaking agreements move forward

We are delighted to announce that a heads of agreement has been signed between the AEU and employer bodies ELAA and MAV, accompanied by a funding package from the state government, finalising groundbreaking new VECTEA and EEEA agreements for the sector.

Early Childhood

What are the next steps?

With the Heads of Agreement now signed, a number of steps need to occur before the new VECTEA and EEEA are approved by the Fair Work Commission and come into effect.

Early Childhood

What about members not covered by the VECTEA or EEEA?

While the VECTEA and EEEA cover the majority of teachers and educators in Victoria, due to the Fair Work Act they are not agreements that can cover the entire sector.

Early Childhood

Take part and vote YES!

AEU members should vote YES to support the new VECTEA and EEEA agreements when voting begins.

Early Childhood

What do the new VECTEA and EEEA look like in practice?

The biggest win of our new agreements is the significant pay increase for early childhood educators across Victoria.

Early Childhood

Congratulations on a long campaign

With the new VECTEA and EEEA, we’ve won agreements that truly value the work of teachers and educators in the early childhood sector.
